Final Report from Dr. Ashwani Soni

It is a report from Dr. Ashwani Soni , one of the successful applicants of AADO Asian Fellowship Programme in Queen Elizabeth Hospital at Hong Kong, who had a visit there on 31 Oct- 25 Nov, 2011.

First of all I want to thank AADO for granting me fellowship at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Hong Kong. Working with Dr Shen and his team was a great experience for me. Beside a very good and experienced surgeon Dr Shen is a very good teacher. The preoperative and post operative discussion sessions were very informative. The preperative planning and treatment protocols were impressive. The presentations by Dr Shen were very educational.

The fractures around the trochantric region are one of the difficult aspects in orthopedics to deal with but nailing technique by Dr Shen made it quite simple easy to treat with very good results. This fellowship changed my way of thinking about these fractures.

At personal level Dr Shen, Dr lee and all other team members were very helpful and supportive and I never found myself in any strange environment from the very first day.

I want to say thanks to Dr Shen Dr Lee and all team members for making this fellowship a good learning experience in a friendly environment.
