This workshop provides theoretical knowledge and practical hands on workshop in sport medicine and arthroscopic surgery which aim to improve the understanding of common sports injury and the basic principles of various arthroscopic reconstructive surgeries.

Objective

• Understand the common pathologies of knee and shoulder including the injuries of ACL, PCL, meniscus, cartilage, rotator cuff tear, SLAP lesion and glenohumeral joint instability.
• Principles of management for common sports injury
• Set up the instrument for arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgeries
• Understand the principles of common arthroscopic surgeries including ACL reconstruction, PCL reconstruction, arthroscopic meniscus repair, arthroscopic Bankart repair, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair.  

Target Participants

• All nurses work in O.T., O & T and surgery related areas
• Priority will be given to member of AADO & Staff of the Orthopaedic & Traumatology Unit or Orthopaedic Team in Operating Theatre
