Notice of Rescheduling
With the critical circumstances and heavy work load among our colleagues
in the last two months, extensive discussion and consideration was
made concerning to reschedule the above certificate course
at the recent Council Meeting, we have come to the decision to reschedule
the course from September 10, 2003 to May 27, 2004.
Received applications will retained for consideration in the
rescheduled course, should applicants wish to withdraw their
application, please contact our secretary Ms. Terry Leung at Tel
: 2632 3482.
Objective
- To provide nurses working in Orthopaedic
team with knowledge and skills to facilitate their day-to-day
duties
- To train nurses for taking up their roles
on teaching junior staff in Orthopaedic team
Entry Requirement
- Nurses with at least 12 months post-registration
experience
- Priority will be given to
- member of AADO
- staff of the Orthopaedic Unit or Orthopaedic Team in Operating

Course Structure
- Lectures-18
sessions (rescheduled)
- September 10, 2003 - May 27, 2004
- every alternate Thursday, 6:30 -
8:30pm
- except except September 10 & September 24, 2003 (both
are Friday), 6:30 - 8:30pm
- Half day field visit at February 09 - 13, 2004 (Compulsory)

- Written examination : May 27, 2004 (6:30 - 8:00pm) (rescheduled)

Fee
- Certificate Course: HK$5,000 (member will be subsidized for
$2,500)
- Hands-on Workshops I: HK$1,000 (member will be subsidized for
$400)
- Hands-on Workshops II: HK$3,000 (member will be subsidized for
$1,200)
- Course fee is neither -refundable nor
transferable.
- Individual cheque/ payment is required for each application
(certificate course, workshop I, II).
Award
- Student with 80% attendance and pass their examination will
be awarded with a certificate of achievement for the course
- Student with 80% attendance will be awarded with certificate
of attendance for the workshops
Accreditation
- NAON Accreditation: Application in Progress. NAON is accredited
as an approver of continuing education in nursing by the American
Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC-COA).
